Designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1958, was originally developed for the interiors of the Eero Saarinen-designed Irwin Miller House. Unlike the earlier molded plywood designs, the EC127 features clean, architectural lines and use of industrial materials represented a shift toward modern workplace and executive seating. Produced by Herman Miller, the EC127 embodies the Eameses’ commitment to combining comfort, function, and aesthetic clarity, and remains an enduring symbol of modern office design.
