It takes a bit more than a rub with tung oil to get this kind of finish
We highlighted the edges to make the ply pop & most importantly installed new shock mounts for decades more safe seating

Its no secret that there are numerous knock off eames style lounge and ottomans out there, China are shipping containers of them every week. If you find a bargain on Craigslist its probably a rip off. On the other hand if you should happen to get one for $200 like the one below we can turn it around.
Similar comfort & style for a fraction of the cost
And quite pretty at the end of the day
All wood refinished, new foam and leather installed topped off with polished & painted bases etc.

Big Sky Chillin MT.
Jason requested something different for his Montana cabin, a little more worn with a club chair look.
We started with really rough 1950’s rosewood panels, after many hours they came out great, all aluminum parts received a ‘Dirty Brass’ finish reminiscent of the Warrior. Last in the puzzle were the cushions upholstered in a gorgeous Townsend hide.
Henry Ford said “you can have it in any color you want, as long as it is black.” I’m sure if Charles & Ray were alive today they would say “you can have it in any color you want, as long as you enjoy it” The world doesn’t have to be upholstered in black leather.

Its a restorers joy when a client drops off a ‘junker’
Imagine all the parties this old banger has been through…
How many kids have spun around and around while Mum shouts “Someones gonna get hurt”
How many dogs have been shooed down or cats caught a nap.
Who gets it for the Super Bowl or the World Cup final.
Or just Dad asleep with the sunday paper.
Family memories, for generations.

Arrived battered and bruised. These project take so much longer that you would expect but its worth waiting for. Over time the leather will form and fit nice n snug and the color ROCKS right.
